This catalogue is published on the occasion of John Kørner's first exhibition at Victoria Miro Gallery -2006 Problems. Kørner's vivid paintings depict a realm of modern problems, which are manifested on canvas as coloured blobs of paint. These 'problems,' which are situated within Kørner's scenes depicting the everyday alongside more surreal elements, are often rooted in the cultural history of industry and work - all of which is discussed in the accompanying catalogue essay by Max Andrews, writer, curator and co-founder of Latitudes, Barcelona.
