This major exhibition (30 October 2022–29 January 2023) is centred around the artist’s 1990 masterpiece Crivelli’s Garden.
There and Back Again is the first German solo exhibition by the Portuguese-British artist Paula Rego, a master of uncompromising vision and an incomparable storyteller who is celebrated as a feminist icon. Her work deals with the themes of fascism, abortion, tragedy and solidarity between women. The exhibition, co-curated by Alistair Hicks and Adam Budak and designed by Didier Fiuza Faustino, sees itself as an opera about human sensitivities, staged in several acts and performed in different narratives.
