The Praemium Erasmianum Foundation has announced that Grayson Perry is the recipient of the Erasmus Prize 2020.
The Erasmus Prize is one of Europe's most distinguished recognitions and is awarded annually to a person or institution that has made an exceptional contribution to the humanities, the social sciences or the arts. Previous British recipients of the award include: Sir Charles Chaplin (1966), Henry Moore (1968), Dame Ninette de Valois (1974), Sir Isaiah Berlin (1988) and Dame A.S. Byatt (2016).
