Njideka Akunyili Crosby is the subject of the Allbritton Art Institute Artist Conversation 2020. On Wednesday 19 February 2020 (5:30pm) the artist will discuss her work with critic Jason Kaufman at Baylor University in Waco, Texas. The event is free and open to the public.
Akunyili Crosby's work can be seen elsewhere in Texas — a reproduction of In the Lavender Room is currently on view at part of the group exhibition Radical Revisionists: Contemporary African Artists Confronting Past and Present, at the Moody Center for the Arts at Rice University in Houston until 16 May 2020. The original work is currently on view at Haus der Kunst, Munich, as part of the exhibition Interiorities, on view until 29 March 2020.
