Doug Aitken's New Era, 2018, is featured in The Store x The Vinyl Factory exhibition TRANSFORMER: The Rebirth Of Wonder at 180 Strand, curated by Jefferson Hack (2 October-8 December 2019). Aitken's film was inspired by his research into and conversations with Martin Cooper, the inventor of the mobile phone, and weaves the story of Cooper's life into a poetic narrative about humanity's history and future.
