Dear Bolette,
The ektachrome is hereby returned.
Offhand, I would say that the painting with the two figures, who seem to be standing in a forest, are related to Jorn’s ornamentation of a kindergarten on Østerbro. Here the joyous and fabulated are repeated and it is dated to 1944. You have to forget the local news paper’s interview with the very young Per Arnoldi, who at the inauguration was interviewed about his view on the decorations. He would rather have something that you could see what it resembled.
Nevertheless, the unusually large painting from 1943 comes forth as more spontaneous and also maybe a bit more loose in its composition and strokes.
I apologise for the fact that we have taken so long to return the ektachrome, but here it is.
Thank you for borrowing.
Kind regards,
Jacob Thage
