(Stand R7) The gallery presented works by artists including Njideka Akunyili Crosby, Secundino Hernández, Chantal Joffe, Yayoi Kusama, Alice Neel, Celia Paul, Grayson Perry, and Adriana Varejão.
Portraiture provided a focal point for half of the presentation. Including a new work by Njideka Akunyili Crosby; Alice Neel's portrait of US writer Aram Saroyan; Brunette in a Trench Coat by Chantal Joffe; and Alice, by Celia Paul.
In contrast, the gallery presented three new monochromatic cracked tile works by Adriana Varejão. A new mirror-polished bronze pumpkin by Yayoi Kusama was shown alongside examples of the artist's Infinity Nets, and a new self-portrait that linked the abstract and figurative elements of the presentation.
With works to view by Jules de Balincourt, Verne Dawson, Peter Doig, William Eggleston, Chris Ofili, Kara Walker and others.
