A focus of this year’s presentation is the agency and urgency of abstraction. Highlights include iconic Infinity Net paintings by Yayoi Kusama; significant works by Do Ho Suh, who will also show a major installation as part of Unlimited; new work by Idris Khan, which takes musical notation as a starting point; Sarah Sze, who continues her decades-long exploration of the ways in which the proliferation of images fundamentally changes our relationship to physical objects, memories and time; and Howardena Pindell, whose first solo exhibition in the UK takes place at Victoria Miro Mayfair this June. Stephen Willats, whose major survey, Languages of Dissent, is held at Migros Museum für Gegenwartskunst, Zürich (25 May–18 August 2019), is represented by a number of recent and historic drawings.
Also on view are paintings by Peter Doig and Robert Ryman.
