Victoria Miro participated with a special presentation of works by Jules de Balincourt, Isaac Julien,Yayoi Kusama, Celia Paul and Adriana Varejão.
The stand featured dedicated rooms of new work by three of the gallery's prominent female artists: 'Infinity Net' paintings and sculptures by Yayoi Kusama; a presentation by the British painter Celia Paul; and an installation of cracked tile paintings by Brazilian artist Adriana Varejão. Kusama and Paul featured in No Man's Land: Women Artists from the Rubell Family Collection. Kusama's solo exhibition, In Infinity, was concurrently at the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, Humlebæk, Denmark, then touring to three other Nordic venues. Paul's collaborative exhibition with Hilton Als, desdemona for celia by hilton, at Gallery Met, New York, organised by Dodie Kazanjian on the occasion of The Metropolitan Opera's production of OTELLO, continued until 2 January. Adriana Varejão's major solo exhibition, Kindred Spirits, was at Dallas Contemporary until 20 December.
New York painter Jules de Balincourt created a new suite of eight paintings that were installed salon-style across a large outer wall of the stand. New photographic work from Isaac Julien's latest series, Stones Against Diamonds, were shown to coincide with the North American debut of Stones Against Diamonds (Ice Cave).
